About us

LoveTheGarden was launched in 2005 with the aim of providing simple and honest advice on all things in the garden, and we're proud of how it's evolved over the years to become one of the leading garden advice sites in the UK.

We feel a lot of that success comes from it being run by people who care about gardening, as it's a part of their everyday lives their enthusiasm for it knows no bounds.

Our Team of Horticultural Experts

LoveTheGarden's team of experts are constantly contributing to the site with new and inspiring ideas, great advice and answering your garden questions on anything to do with the garden.

With decades of experience under their belts (one of our experts has over 30 years!), their wealth of knowledge comes from being garden centre managers, landscape gardeners, working as the editor for the RHS website, being a BBC radio garden presenter, authoring books such as RHS Botany For Gardeners, publishing 22 academic papers, or running a grow your own farm.

These are just some of their qualifications:

Although our experience and knowledge is vast, we're learning all the time and we love passing on what we learn to others. We're always happy to see other people share in our enthusiasm and contribute to LoveTheGarden with their own experiences, tips, tricks and advice.

And if we're stumped, we'll go away and call on our industry contacts to find the answer for you!

We continue to work alongside our main sponsors, including brands such as Miracle-Gro, Roundup, Evergreen, LevingtonWeedolJoseph Bentley, Yeoman, Chapelwood & Botanico, to take advantage of their ongoing research and cutting-edge knowledge in the field of horticulture.

Working in the Community

Seeds of Hope childrens garden Guildford CathedralPart of spreading the LoveTheGarden word is getting out into the community and helping those less fortunate than ourselves, so they are able to enjoy their gardens and wildlife just like we do.  Each year we work with a number of local charities and other deserving organisations, to introduce or restore garden spaces through donations from our sponsors.

These are just some of the people we're working with:

Our Children's Programs
