First marketed by ICI Garden Products in 1965, Weedol has revolutionised garden weeding. It was the first ever weedkiller that was completely inactivated on contact with the soil, and was nick-named by advertising as ‘The Chemical Hoe’.
Its benefits then are the same today: Just a single application is all that is needed to control annual weeds. The weedkiller is rainfast just 10 minutes after application and works at all temperatures at all times of the year.
Weedol can be used around flowers, shrubs, fruit and vegetables without leaving harmful residues. Gardeners can sow seeds or plant seedlings as soon as the weedkiller has dried on the weed leaves.

Weedol MAX – Unleash the power of nature
A fast acting weedkiller that gives results in a few hours. Weedol MAX kills weeds, moss and algae fast! It contains an active ingredient found in nature called ‘pelargonic acid’ which occurs naturally in many plants. When extracted and concentrated it acts as a powerful weedkiller.
Weedol MAX can be used all around the garden; in beds, borders, around roses, shrubs and trees and on gravel paths and drives. You can plant or sow as soon as the area you have treated has dried. Also children and pets can play on treated area once dry. Weedol MAX is available as a ready to use spray gun or as a liquid concentrate.
