1 Month old Lawn & Feed?
|
|
Hi All,
Hope you can help!
My lawn is approximatly 4 weeks old, although im watering it alot its starting to take a bit of a bashing with the hot weather!. I cut it for the first time at the weekend, it was well rooted and seemed to be growing well (lots of new shoots with seeds etc)
After I cut it (on the highest mower setting) some patches have started to turn a light brown colour.
My question is, in an attempt to save the lawn and make it thrive, would I be ok adding Miracle-Gro Liquafeed Lush lawn? if so, should I do it after I water it, as the bottle only lasts 20 minutes and i normally drench the new turf more than that? Is this product affected if it rains the same / following day or night?
The other product I was looking at was the evergreen Cut and Feed ?
What do you recomend is best? (or another product maybe?)
Thanks in advance,
Craig

Hi Craig,
The most important thing you can do for your lawn in this hot weather is water it. Like you say, a good soaking. Watering your lawn lightly can cause the roots to raise up to the surface to get the water.
To give it an extra boost we would reccomend using a liquid/soluble lawn feed. Miracle-Gro Liquafeed Lush Lawn food is certainly suitable. Water your lawn well, then go over it afterwards applying a light feed.
All the best
