Hi barbara,

These, and many other palms alike, can suffer following a cold winter, especially if there was heavy snow fall. The cold and wet can get right into the centre of the palms and cause them to rot. Pull out any rotting branches and try to get air and sunlight to the plants. Though it may be too late.

Without seeing it I can't say for 100% sure this is the cause, but it is a possibility.

Perhaps someone else who has experienced this may be able to help??...

Thanks smile

I would suggest you feed a soluble feed, Miracle-Gro all purpose soluble plant food has a good mix of nutrients, it will help strengthen the roots as well as promoting more top growth. . . . providing the damage hasn't gone too far.

Fingers crossed for you smile
