Potatoes 16/02/10 13:06 flowerpower Registered: Posts: 1 I recently bought several products from the Miracle-Gro 'Grow Your Own' range including the Organic Choice Potato and Veg Grow Sac. I heard from a friend that I need to 'Chit' the potatoes before planting. Can anyone explain to me what this means?! The easiest way is to place your seed potatoes in a light, airy position in egg boxes. This will encourage the potatoes to sprout side shoots. Then, when the time and conditions are correct, you can plant them in the Gro Sac. Hope this helps?
