The recent downpours of rain and subsequent flooding have flushed out ‘huge numbers’ of rats from their normal hiding places.

Health experts from the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health have warned homeowners to take measures to stop the rats from re-establishing themselves in their homes, gardens and outbuildings.
