The Oxford Garden Project was formed in 2000 to develop a commercially sustainable food growing and horticultural education facility for community and social purposes.
Since then Robert and Yvonne have grown the business to host a full program of talks, demonstrations and courses (including City and Guilds) on subjects ranging from Organic gardening and composting to seasonal cooking and preserving.
If this wasn’t enough, they’re now planning to upgrade the established acre garden and 2,500 sq. ft. building in Longworth, Oxfordshire to provide a fully equipped multi-purpose teaching facility.
Robert Longstaff, founder, says, “We are involved with voluntary social activities around local food, growing and cooking, resources and sustainability issues… our training has received huge support from all those who have visited. We have letters of support and commendation, proposals for future joint ventures and offers of help from volunteers.”
