Earwigs

Description
Earwigs eat the developing buds of chrysanthemums and dahlias. These bugs cause damage to plants as they eat the young leaves and flowers. Damage is most easily recognised as irregular holes in leaves and petals.

Treatment and control
Dusting the site
Dust soil around stems with Ant Stop! Powder (contains Bendiocarb). Make traps with straw inside a plant pot upturned on top of a cane. Empty daily over boiling water.
