Effectively kills most lawn weeds, including the problem weeds such as white clover, black medick, lesser trefoil, daisy, dandelion, plantain and common mouse-ear

This specially formulated selective weedkiller controls broad-leaved weeds that invade lawns and ‘suffocate’ the grass. Use on all established lawns and grassy areas in late spring or early summer. Weeds will wilt, turn brown and die within 4 – 6 weeks. Verdone Extra removes the competition and allows grass to thrive and spread.
This easy mix liquid concentrate formulation contains 3 different selective weedkillers to give easy control of most common lawn weeds from one application. The most common culprits include dandelions, daisies, white clover and plantains. Controlling them is relatively easy, but there are a host of other plants with smaller leaves that are less easily controlled with ordinary lawn weedkiller treatments. That’s where Verdone Extra scores extra points because it will give good control of these problem weeds, such as lesser trefoil (yellow suckling clover), black medick (a small leaved clover), common mouse-ear chickweed, yarrow, parsley-piert and the blue flowering speedwell.

Dilute in water in your own pressure sprayer or a watering can fitted with a very fine rose and apply over the whole lawn. Treat new lawns that are at least 2 months established. Children and pets can play on the treated lawn once the spray has dried.
Frequently asked questions
Does it harm the grass? open/close
No. Verdone Extra is a selective lawn weed killer only targeting broad leaved lawn weeds. Always read the label and apply in accordance with instructions.
How does it work? open/close
Verdone Extra is a hormone weed killer, it affects the growth hormone on broad leaved weeds, encouraging them to grow at a fast rate which they cannot sustain, causing the weeds to literally grow themselves to death!
When can I use it? open/close
Verdone Extra targets the growth hormone of broad leaved weeds, therefore needs to be applied to weeds which are actively growing between April and September.
Is it safe for children and pets? open/close
All our products adhere to strict pesticide safety legislation and when used in accordance with the instructions do not pose a threat to children and pets. Once the spray has dried, children and pets can return to the treated area.
Is it safe for grazing animals? open/close
There is no real need to restrict access to a lawn treated with a Verdone Extra when used as directed on the label, unless there are poisonous weeds such as ragwort, buttercup etc present. Grazing animals will avoid eating these weeds in their natural state. However once the weed starts to die (be it from use of a weed killer or naturally) changes in the way the weeds taste may make them more palatable and they may be eaten by mistake.
It is these dying weeds that cause the risk to grazing animals. Where this type of weed is present, or if you are unsure if toxic weeds are present, we recommend keeping grazing animals off the area until the weeds have died and have their remains have been physically removed.
How long does it need to become rain fast? open/close
For best results a period of 6 hours should elapse before rain fall.
How do I apply it? open/close
Apply at the rate recommended on pack, spray weeds enough to cover the leaves but not to the point of surface run-off.
