Compost for Tomato seeds

Posted 11 Apr 2016

Hi, Miracle-Gro Potting Mix has quite a high level of plant food in it, seeds need a low nutrient compost. If you give tomato plants too much feed before they start setting fruit, they are likely not to fruit at all.

The best advice we can give it to use a specialist seed compost to start them off, then once they have started to flower and set fruit, start feeding with Tomorite and transplant into a Tomorite Giant Planter or if you wish to use pots, then use Miracle-Gro Gro your Own Vegetable and Fruit Compost. Miracle-Gro Potting Mix can be used once the fruits start to appear.
