How and how often should I water my house plant?

Asked 2 years 4 weeks ago by Steve Dalton Consumer

I have a spider plant, how often should I water it? And should I pour water in at the top or bottom of the pot - does it matter which?

Hi Steve, water your plant

Hi Steve, water your plant only when the compost feels dry, push your finger into the top of the compost, it should feel slightly damp - not wet and not dry.

Watering from the base helps get the water straight to the roots and also helps prevent water getting into the crown of the plant where it can cause damage.
