4 in 1 Risky?

4 in 1 Risky?

Asked 1 year 2 months ago by jongarden

I've moved into a house that has a large lawn that is heavily infested with moss - I have scarified it and have purchased the Everfreen 4-in-1 solution and spreader with a view to combatting this issue.

However I am concerned that with the amount of moss there I will end up with 50% or more of my garden being black or bare, and according to the instructions I can't sow seeds for 2 months after using the product, which would mean quite a few months with no usable law.

Will it fill in? IS it likely the moss isn't as bad as it looks and there is grass underneath?

Not sure how to do this without totally ruining the garden?

Treating moss in the lawn

Posted 07 Apr 2016

Hi Jon Garden

From the photos the amount of moss does not look too bad and the grass should recover and grow back, but it could take some time.  We advise to treat the lawn and then 6 weeks after treatment give the lawn a feed with something like EverGreen Extreme Green or Miracle-Gro Soluble Lawn Food.

If by then end of August the patches have not recovered, look to sow new grass seed September time.
