Miracle-Gro Azalea, Camellia & Rhododendron Liquid Plant Food has crystallised?

Miracle-Gro Azalea, Camellia & Rhododendron Liquid Plant Food has crystallised?

Asked 1 year 8 months ago by [email protected]

A part-used bottle of this product stored from last year rattled when shaken. There proved to be a crystalline sediment. Prolonged shaking will not get the crystals to redissolve, so obviously the diluted material from this bottle will be lacking in one or more of the essential components and therefore useless. The product has not at any time been stored below freezing point.
Will standing the bottle in hot water for a period solve the problem?
This may be a normal feature of your product, but if so, there should be a warning on the bottle giving a limit on the storage life.
I would appreciate your comments.

Miracle Gro Azalea, camellia and Rhodendron Liquid Plant Food is based on soluble nutrient salts and it would appear that some of the salts have crystallised over winter since you last used it. This is very unusual and we are sorry it has happended. The plants you fed last year will not be affected but as some of the nutrients are locked up in the crystals now and any new feeding may not contain the correct balance of nutrients. When storing feeds ensure they are well sealed and the cap is screwed on tightly and store in a cool dry place.

Kind Regards

Tim
