Weeds are persistent garden invaders that will often grow back if you fail to treat them correctly. Before you are able to effectively treat/ remove them you must first be able to identify whether or not it is a weed. Weeds can be divided into 3 groups which can help determine the best way to identify them.
Perennial or woody weeds produce large, deep or creeping roots that keep coming back year after year. They can grow from even the smallest left-over segment, so digging them up can make the problem worse.
