Minchinhampton School Plants 1,000 Bulbs for Spring
To kick-start the launch of their school gardening club, Minchinhampton School in Gloucestershire rounded up volunteer mums, dads, children and members of the village gardening club, to help plant 1,000 bulbs in the school grounds.
Lending a hand were Scotts Solus Brands, who donated bulb planters and 50 assorted Yeoman and Joseph Bentley tools to support the gardening club's ambitions - they'll continue to support Minchinhampton with advice and information on growing through the year.
On a kind Sunday afternoon in autumn, it took more than 30 volunteers an hour and a half of solid planting in the beds, on the banks and under the trees to reach their goal.
The Chair of the Parents Teachers Association Committee, said: "Thank you Scotts Solus Brands for your wonderful tools, we couldn’t have done it without your help. Our school is going to look great and we are going to have some fun learning all about gardening.".
The Minchinhampton School Gardening Club meets on Wednesdays after school.
Everyone at Scotts are very much looking forward to seeing photos of the flowers in bloom!
