Leonard Cheshire Disability is the largest voluntary sector provider to disabled people in the UK. They support over 21,000 with 300 local services and projects across the country.

One of their disability homes, Hydon Hill in Surrey, is situated within a 13 acre estate that requires constant management by the only full time groundsman – Dave Green. The home is surrounded by lawns providing a beautiful and tranquil area for residence to enjoy and relax in. Recent spells of hot and dry weather have taken their toll on these areas, with no budget available to purchase fertilisers, moss controls or weed killers the lawns are looking worse for wear.

Following a letter received from Hydon Hill, members of the Scotts Miracle-Gro UK Green Team visited the site and saw how much help could be provided to try and return the outside areas back to pleasant gardens. After getting together a large quantity of gardening products, including a kind donation of two back pack sprayers from Hozelock, a selection of the team visited Hydon Hill along with cars loaded with products. The staff at Hydon Hill were overjoyed with the donation.
