Frequently Asked Questions

Weedol Ultra Tough Concentrate

Q1. When can I use Weedol Ultra Tough Concentrate?
A1. It can be used between April and November on a dry calm day when the weeds are actively growing and have sufficient leaf surface to absorb enough weedkiller to kill the weeds.
Q2. What happens if it rains 2hrs after application?
A2. Most of the Weedol Ultra Tough will be washed off leading to poor weed control.
Q3. Will it control brambles?
A3. Yes, use 1 tube Weedol Ultra Tough in 1lt of water in a sprayer or 5lt of water in a watering can and apply to 14 sqm when the leaves have fully expanded. Brambles may need a second application after 28 days.
Q4. How long does it take for the weeds to die?
A4. Some reaction may be seen in a day or so and weed death happens in 14-28 days in good growing conditions. In cool weather weed control will take longer.
Q5. Will it kill grass?
A5. Yes, it is a non selective systemic weedkiller that enters weeds through green plant material (leaves) into the sap and moved around the weed before killing it.
Q6. When can children or pets go back onto the treated area?
A6. We advise to keep children and pets off the area until the weedkiller has thoroughly dried onto the weeds. Store all pesticides in a secure place.
Q7. Why is there a difference in the water volumes when using the Tubes with a sprayer or watering can?
A7. A watering can uses approximately 5 times more water than a sprayer hence the difference in water volume. If treating annual weeds with a sprayer add 1 tube to 1lt of water and apply to 30sqm, with a watering can add 1 tube to 5lts of water and apply to 30sqm.
