Herbs are not only very easy to grow, but also have a number of functions from food to perfume and historically, medicine. Herbs are most commonly known for providing a culinary use and are evident in a number of popular British and international dishes. Herbs can be grown in pots, containers or hanging baskets and can be particularly rewarding to grow.
Make sure that you are picking your herbs regularly throughout the growing season and look to pick off the tips of the herb rather than from the stem, this will encourage growth of two shoots from the one stem! Worm tea or liquid seaweed would be the best source of food for your herbs- both are packed full of minerals that will help to grow a full bodied plant.
