FEATURES

  • The base ingredient, compost, is nature's own method for returning to the soil all the nutrients and other goodies that plants take out while growing
  • Soil revitaliser adds organic materials back into soil encouraging beneficial soil microbes and earthworms which, in turn, improve both soil texture and nitrogen content
  • Contains iron sulphate which corrects iron deficiencies in plants
  • Certified to meet the Australian Standard for Premium Composts

SUITABLE FOR

  • All garden soils, especially those that have been in cultivation for many years, will benefit from the addition of organic materials in the form of quality compost to improve soil texture and quality and nutrient availability
  • Safe to use in soils that will be used for vegetables and herbs and as a mulch around edibles
  • Safe to use for new plants - the organic content and controlled release of nutrients means it will not burn soft leaves or tender young roots

NOT SUITABLE FOR

  • Don't use in hydroponic growing systems or ponds
  • Don't use on lawns - use only specifically named lawn topdress soils on grassed areas

HOW TO USE

  1. Prepare your garden soil before planting by thoroughly working a 10cm layer of Compost & Soil Improver into the top 15cm or so of soil with a rake. Close the bag tightly after use
  2. Add another 10cm layer of compost to the bed and mix it into the previously amended soil. This should create a 15-20cm raised bed.
  3. Use as a mulch after planting (excellent for mulching around edibles)
  4. Water thoroughly after planting and as frequently as possible until plants are established
  5. For best results, after three months feed with Scotts Osmocote® Controlled release Fertiliser for Vegetables, Tomatoes, Herbs & Garden Beds
  6. Maximum application rates:
    • Sensitive plants 25L/m2
    • Tolerant plants 90L/m2
