A quality potting mix for all types of plants and growing conditions, this premium potting mix will help you save water while growing healthy, happy plants. It includes Scotts Osmocote® that feeds for 4 months as well as a wetting agent to help water soak in.

When to use

  • Growth stimulants encourage strong root development leading to healthier, more vigorous plants
  • Wetting agent assists moisture to soak into the mix and helps roots absorb nutrients
  • This mix contains a higher level of more readily available soluble nitrogen than regular mixes. While it contains a balanced fertiliser, additional feeding may be required depending on the nutrient demands of plants being grown in it

  • Indoor and outdoor plants, shrubs, flowers, palms, fruit trees, vegetables and herbs - an all-round all-purpose mix
  • Can be used in pots that will be submerged in ponds but make sure the mix is covered with a 2-3cm layer of coarse washed sand or pebbles to prevent it floating out of the pot and contaminating water
  • Safe to use on new plants - the controlled release of nutrients means it will not burn soft leaves or tender young roots

  • Don't use in hydroponic growing systems or ponds
  • Don't use on lawns - use only specifically named lawn topdress soils on grassed areas

  1. Use Osmocote® Professional Premium Potting Mix straight from the bag. For best results, do not mix with any other material. Close the bag tightly after use.
  2. Water the plants thoroughly before repotting and leave to drain.
  3. Select a clean container with large drainage holes and partly fill the pot with Osmocote® Professional Premium Potting Mix.
  4. Turn the plant out of its existing container. Gently loosen the mix from around the root ball and remove any damaged or dead roots.
  5. Place the plant in the centre of the new pot. Fill in with Osmocote® Professional Premium Potting Mix to within 2–3cm from the top of the container and press lightly.
  6. Tap the new container gently to allow the mixture to settle. Do not pack down.
  7. Water thoroughly and add more potting mix if settling occurs after watering. Allow the excess water to drain away and place in the shade for 2–3 days to allow the plant to establish.
  8. The soluble nitrogen content in this mix is higher and more readily available to the plant than that of regular mixes. This potting mix contains a balanced fertiliser, but additional fertiliser may be required, depending on plant needs.

For a complete guide on How to Use Scotts Osmocote® Professional Premium Mix always check the packaging

  • Potting mixes can be used at any time of the year
  • Repotting established pot plants is best done either in Spring or Autumn - avoid Winter or Summer as the extremes of temperature may stress plants
  • Flowering plants should be repotted after they have flowered - enjoy the blooms first!

CAUTION: This product may cause staining of hard surfaces if wet. Avoid contact with hard surfaces and if contact does occur, sweep off immediately
