For best results, the treated lawn should be left undisturbed for 7-10 days after application, to allow the fertiliser to be taken up by the grass and the weedkiller to be absorbed and start working. You can mow after that period has passed.
We recommend using a Scotts spreader for even, accurate application at the correct rate. Spreader settings and application rates (in grams per square metre) are included in the directions on the bag and are also available under the Further Information tab on each Lawn Builder product page on this website.
In most areas, three applications a year are recommended. The granular lawn food needs a soil temperature of around 15-18 °C to release its nutrients and for the grass to be active enough to absorb them. Early spring, early summer (but not if daily temperatures are more than 30°C) and mid-autumn are the best times.
