We stand behind our Miracle-Gro® compost and plant food products included in this guarantee. If, after using them exactly as directed, your plants don’t perform as expected, we’ll review your claim in line with the terms below.
How the Miracle-Gro® Performance Guarantee works
Compost Guarantee
- Covers up to 100 litres of Miracle-Gro® All Purpose compost per person, per year
- Keep your receipt as proof of purchase, a photo of you using the product, and before and after photos.
- Follow the instructions on the back of the pack
- If your plants aren’t thriving after 3 months, please contact us
Plant Food Guarantee
- Covers one pack of Miracle-Gro® Plant Food per person, per year
- Keep your receipt as proof of purchase, a photo of you using the product, and before and after photos.

1. What is the Miracle-Gro® Performance Guarantee?
The Miracle-Gro® Performance Guarantee is our promise that when you use Miracle-Gro® compost and plant food as directed, your plants will thrive. If they don’t, we’ll make it right with compensation in the form of Miracle-Gro®/HTA National Garden Gift Vouchers.
2. Which products are covered?
The guarantee covers a wide selection of Miracle-Gro® All Purpose Compost, and Soluble Plant Food, Liquid Plant Food, and Granules Plant Food – including All Purpose, Rose & Shrub, and Azalea, Camellia & Rhododendron plant food ranges. You can view the full product list above.
3. How much compost or plant food is included in the guarantee?
- Up to 100 litres of compost per person, per year
- One pack of plant food per person, per year
4. What proof do I need to make a claim?
You’ll need:
- A valid receipt of purchase, and
- Before and after photos of you using the product with your plants
5. How long should I wait before making a claim?
You’ll need to allow at least one month before submitting a claim for plant food and three months for compost. This gives your plants time to absorb the nutrients and show results.
6. What if my plants have pests or disease?
Plants affected by pests or disease aren’t covered, as these issues aren’t related to the performance of the compost or plant food.
7. Is the guarantee valid for commercial growers or community projects?
No – the guarantee is for personal gardening use only.
8. How will I be compensated?
If your claim is approved, you’ll receive Miracle-Gro®/HTA National Garden Gift Vouchers up to the value of your purchase (or up to 100L for compost).
9. Where does the guarantee apply?

10. How do I make a claim?
It’s simple:
