When to use
FEATURES

- When used as directed, this product issafe to use around domestic pets and children. Check paws and feet for granules before allowing pets or children on to paved areas as staining may occur
SUITABLE FOR
- All lawn grasses including all named varieties of buffalo, traditional couch, Santa Ana couch, kikuyu, bent, fescues and carpet grass
- All grass substitutes such as dichondra (also known as pennywort or kidney weed), lippia, zoysia
NOT SUITABLE FOR
- Scotts Lawn Builder™ is not recommended for use on plants other than lawn grasses and lawn substitutes
- Do not use on lawns less than 8 weeks old - from germination of seed or installation of instant turf (useScotts Lawn Builder™ Seed & Turf Starter)
- Do not use if the temperature is expected to exceed 30 degrees C - wait for a cool spell
HOW IT WORKS
- Scotts Lawn Builder™ is a slow-release fertiliser that provides continuous nutrition over a three month period
- Every granule of Scotts Lawn Builder™ + Wetting Agent contains Scotts patented time-release nitrogen
- The included professional grade wetting agent assists moisture to penetrate deep into the root zone and improves the uptake of nutrients
- Nutrients are released at about the same rate that grass roots can take up the fertiliser so there is no wastage, run-off to waterways or damaging surge growth
HOW TO USE
How much will I need?
This Scotts Lawn Builder™ has a recommended application rate of 16g/m2
To work out how much you will need to fertilise your lawn
- Calculate the area of the lawn in square metres (multiply the length by the width)
- The area multiplied by the application rate will give the exact amount of Scotts Lawn Builder™ you need
- Use a set of scales to weigh it out and then add it to the spreader ready to apply - do not be tempted to add a 'bit extra for luck' because over-application may result in nitrogen burning

How do I apply it?
- For best results ALWAYS use a Scotts spreader
- Check your model and make sure to set it correctly before you start (settings are also on the back label of the product)
- If you don't have a spreader, make sure you distribute the fertiliser evenly over the lawn - uneven applications may result in 'hot spot' burning where too much has landed in one spot

Dry Method
- If water restrictions are in operation, apply to the lawn without watering in
- Scotts Lawn Builder™ is safe on the lawn until it next rains or the lawn needs watering when it has been applied evenly with a spreader and at the rate recommended on the bag
- Scotts Lawn Builder™ + Wetting Agent is guaranteed to green the lawn within one week of the lawn receiving moisture
Fast Method
- Your lawn will be greener in two days with watering
- For fast results apply to moist lawn, wait 24 hours and then water in thoroughly

WHEN TO USE
- For best results, feed your lawnsthree times a year- in early Spring, early Summer and Autumn
- Avoid feedinglawns in cooler regionsin Winter
- The release of nutrients from granules is controlled by temperature
- In Winter when soil temperatures are low and lawn growth is extremely slow in many areas, the granules will simply 'sit' there
SAFETY INFORMATION
IMPORTANT: This product, when wet, will cause iron stains. Be sure to sweep all granules off paths, coping, paving, driveways, shoes, etc immediately after use. Do not allow the granules to come into contact with these surfaces when they are wet
Store safely out of the reach of children and pets. This product contains iron which can be harmful to dogs' livers if eaten in quantity
