Miracle-Gro® Patch Magic® Grass Seed, Feed & Coir is an easy-to-use, one step solution to repair patches on lawn. Guaranteed to grow anywhere, even on slopes as it contains a binder which helps to keep the seed from washing away. A unique formula containing coir absorbs up to 6x its own weight in water surrounding the seed in a protective layer. Enhanced quality seed, free from agricultural grasses, and grows 2x thicker than ordinary grass seed with half the water, and first shoots can be seen within just 4 days.
When to use
How to use
- Remove any dead grass from the patchy area, loosen the soil with a rake and give the area a thorough soaking with water.
- Apply evenly as per the instructions, this is crucial as it makes all the difference to the success of germination.
- Water in thoroughly until the coir has turned dark brown.
- Regularly check to make sure the the coir does not dry out (will turn back to light brown), but don’t over water!
- In just one week or so, depending on weather conditions and temperatures, you should start to see your first shoots, then in the next few weeks your patches will start to blend in with the rest of your lawn.
- Leave your new grass to grow and get established, it should not have any treatments applied to it until it is at least 6 months old.

- 60% Perennial Ryegrass (Lolium perenne)
- 40% Chewings Fescue (Festuca rubra commut)

Q1: Do I need to water Patch Magic in?
A1: If rain isn’t forecasted then you’ll need to water it in. The coir will immediately expand and encourage germination of the seed. Water again when the Patch Magic turns a lighter brown.
Q2: Can I apply fertiliser after using Patch Magic?
A2: Patch Magic contains enough Miracle-Gro Plant Food to produce strong roots and aid establishment of the seed. It is not recommended to apply most fertilisers onto new or unestablished grass, until it is 6 months or older.
Q3: Is it safe to use if I have children and/or pets?
A3: Children and pets need not be excluded from treated areas.
Q4: How quickly will Patch Magic germinate?
A4: Usually germination will happen between 5-14 days. During colder periods visible germination may take longer.
Q5: I have lots of patches in my lawn, can i refill my shaker jar?
A5: Yes, you can buy Patch Magic in bags and refill your shaker jar.

You have to be patient to get amazing results. I followed the instructions and it was easy to apply evenly thanks to the product design. To get a decent end result it took 2 applications and I am very pleased with the results. The grass is luscious and green. I thought I would have to turf but this product has saved time and money.

The patch repair grass seed works well although it is limited to wetter springs and summer otherwise it will need watering. Otherwise this works great with good packaging and good value for the product.

This product is AMAZING. Before testing it I didn't even realised that something like that exist on the market. Very easy to use and do miracles. The grass is beautiful and it was so easy to seed. The packaging is handy and the smell is nice. I couldn't recommend it more. It is long lasting as well. The price is very reasonable for the quality.

I used this product its my patchy and thinning grass and its great. My garden gets alot of direct sun and is quite dry however the Patch Magic worked well and my lawn is slowly coming back.

Easy to use starting to see sprouts of grass in patchy areas. Easy to maintain with watering. Hopefully will see more grass sprouting soon. Would reccomend.
New grass does grow not a lot

It’s not a bad product but not miracle worker. I’ve been using it on my bald lawn patches for few weeks now and although I can see some new grass growing it’s not a lot. Probably need more time and more product. The problem is that I use it on high traffic areas so it’s very hard for new grass to grow. If I be able to fence off and don’t use those areas I’m pretty sure that product would work better.

I was given the chance to review this product the opinions and review is solely my own.Upon reviewing this i was sceptical to begin with but following the instructions and maintaining regular watering the patch under my child's slide already to show signs of growth after 2 weeks it says 7 days but I presume that's in areas with good source of sunlight. I would say the price seems a.little steep unless you can get it on an offer as there aren't as many seeds as I would have wanted but for the purpose of what I needed it worked

Miracle-Gro Patch Magic Grass Seed Feed & Coir is a quick and easy fix for patchy lawns. The combination of seed feed and coir (a water-retaining material) makes it simple to apply and results can often be seen in just a couple of weeks. It's especially useful for high-traffic areas that struggle with regrowth especially with two children running around the garden! Once applied I only had to water daily and we could see the difference in no time!

Large bottle for the amount of product provided. It’s been over a week since I planted with little growth so far. There has been some improvement but not as I would have expected and in some areas there has been no growth. Received for free.

Every year we set up trampolines in our garden for our kids which leaves behind patches of grassless ground. We’ve tried Miracle-Gro Patch Grass and we’re thoroughly impressed with the results. Unlike other products it doesn’t emit any unpleasant odours. In fact there’s not even a hint of smell. The application process is straightforward and we’ve noticed significant grass growth within a short period. We highly recommend this product!

This product is really easy to use and perfect for fixing bare spots on the lawn. I saw the first signs of growth within just a few days and the grass came in green and healthy. Of course 5 stars for packaging it is brilliant idea. From sustainability side it also I think because it's definitely will be sensed by me.After winter we do have 'bold spots' and amount of the product is just right.I trust this company and sure it will give very quick resultswaiting first sprouts to come out shortly.
Small amount of growth in only five days

Although in my after photos there's lots of blossom I can assure you that there has been some growth and in only five days and it's under the shade of a pear tree!I was going to brush or rack off the blossom but was worried it might disrupt the seeds and it's growth.If it continues to grow like this I suspect within a few more weeks it should be back to how it was or even better as long as the birds don't eat all the seeds!And It's so easy to use. Just rack water shake and then water again and wait for green lush grass.
