Miracle-Gro® Quick Grow Lawn Seed is a specialist seed mix that gives the first shoots within 4 days and continues to grow and thicken over time, to give you a stunning green lawn. Ideal for creating a new lawn, seeding an existing lawn or repairing bare patches.

How to use
Create a new lawn or fill in a bare patch
1. Rake
- Rake the area to remove all weeds, stones and dead grass.
- If over-seeding your existing lawn ensure you mow the grass short first.
- Turn the soil over to a depth of 15-22cm (6-9in).
- For best results, lightly cover the area with Miracle-Gro® Lawn Dressing. Level and firm by treading the soil.
2. Shake
- Shake box to re-mix seed.
- Apply 30g per metre squared for new lawns or bare patches.
- Use the handy sprinkler on the side of the pack to create a criss-cross pattern by sowing half the seed from left to right and the rest from top to bottom.
- Gently rake in, then tread or roll seed into the soil.
3. Water
- Unless it rains, soak with a fine spray and keep the soil moist for the next few weeks. For best results, keep your new lawn watered regularly.
- The grass can be trimmed when it is 5-8cm (2-3in).
- Each time you mow, lower blade height a level until its at 2.5cm (1in).
- Do not cut more than a ⅓ off the growth at any one point.
- Start feeding the lawn after 12 weeks to ensure its kept healthy. We recommend Miracle-Gro® Healthy Lawn.
How to overseed an existing lawn
- Prepare the lawn by mowing it short, raking out dead grass, moss and debris.
- Apply a lawn dressing, such as Miracle-Gro® Lawn Dressing.
- In dry conditions, moisten the lawn.
- Sprinkle a small handful of seed for each square meter (25g).
- Lightly rake the seed into the lawn.
- Unless it rains, soak with a fine spray and keep soil moist for the next few weeks. For best results, keep your new lawn watered regularly.

Perfect for repair the grass that my pool damaged

Miracle Gro Quick Grow Lawn Seed was just what I needed after taking down our pool that had been up for over half a year. The grass had completely died and it was just a huge patch of mud. The seed was easy to sprinkle from the side of the box. There’s a small tab to break to begin with which creates a little hole. You need to water it often. After about 1 month most of the grass has grown back. Probably a bit delayed and patchy as my puppy won’t stop playing zoomies over it. I would definitely recommend this for anyone that needs to improve their lawn.

Quick growing and easy to sprinkle

This grass seed does what it says on the tin.. I've been very happy with the results and the grass seed germinated quickly and we started seeing shoots after just 2 weeks. Pictures show the progress in just 2 weeks and 4 weeks! The only down fall was the sprinkler holes as it needed to be opened with a bit more care but it was easy to spread evenly and quickly across the grass. Overall happy and will be purchasing again.

It says on the box that you should see growth in 4 days but no growth as yet. However it’s still very early days. It was very easy to open the box and spread out the seed. Very hopeful it will fill in our bare patches!

I used this to cover some patches on my lawn it had plenty of coverage for what I needed time will tell on the results as we have a pigeon problem so they seem to enjoy eating it. I will update pictures once we have some growth

It failed to germinate and my lawn is still patchy. What a waste of time and money! The application was easy but can't comment on any growth. Wouldn't recommend

I planted this seed on my front garden using the easy to follow instructions. I've struggled with poor coverage since I moved in and this has helped so much. I can notice it's thicker fuller grass and I am so pleased with the end result.

This product is great to use on areas of patchy lawn. Our grass really needed some tlc. The instructions were easy to follow and it was easy to lay the seed and water. Little sprouts of grass are starting to appear and it is going to look so much better a little does go a long way.

I have used this product for patches in my lawn and it's a great product the sprouts appeared quickly roughly 8 days later and it is still growing. I will continue to use the product as and when it is needed. The instructions were easy to follow and the packaging was sufficient it was good that it comes with the shaker built in. The benefits of this product were that it was safe to use with animals in the household.

Good coverage with the size of the box easy access with the opening on the side of the box to spread the seeds. We put the seeds down 16 days ago and there is some change but not as much as expected it was definitely longer than 4 days to see anything shooting through. The before picture was before mowing the lawn so some areas are thickening but not much. Great box easy instructions to follow just not amazing results

Mixed feelings on this grass seed. I could see the first shoots appearing within 3 days which was great but the main issue is just the patchiness - large areas with no growth at all.

Such an easy product to use it clearly states the instructions on the back of the box.You can tear the side out so that you can just shake the box around your garden and the grass seeds will fall.We put these down when it was raining to ensure the ground was wet.We have patches in our garden which really needed more grass so it's exciting to see what this will do. Already we are seeing an improvement.There are lots of grass seeds in the pack which means you can do a larger amount of area.

10/10. That’s all I have to say. My son has destroyed our garden from playing football with his friends and I had bought some cheap seeds from Poundland and they did nothing and the birds just ate them. Tried these miracle grow seeds and within one week you could already see a major difference with what was sprouting up. Haven’t even used half the box and have recovered almost the whole garden now. Probed the ground slightly laid the seeds and watered. Thankfully we had a good blast of sun and rain showers for two weeks and it worked absolute wonders with hardly any effort at all! Will repurchase regularly.

I’ve tried a few lawn seed brands over the years but Miracle Gro definitely stands out. The germination rate was impressive. I started seeing green shoots within a week and after a few weeks the lawn looked much fuller and healthier.

This product does do as it says on the box but not within the 4 day window as advertised and stated it covers a wide range of area with the easy applicator on the side of the box it helps ensure full coverage along the area needed

I love that the box itself turns into a seed shaker! It provides fantastic even coverage and covers a decent amount of ground. I have a few bald patches on my lawn unfortunately from the shadow of my fence which is super hard to try get anything to grow against however this has been sprouting little green grass strands which I am so excited to see. The box size is really good too!

Just as rubbish as all the other lawn seed I’ve tried. I did sprinkle more than what was stated on the box and even that hasn’t worked. The seed has been down a week and there is no sign of any new growth. Watered morning and night and we have had a week of warm weather and still nothing.
