Roundup® Weedkiller Total Optima is glyphosate free and comes in the iconic green pack you know and love. This product is a pre-mixed ready to use general purpose weedkiller and is ideal for use on weedy flower beds, vegetable patches and all around the garden. Once sprayed the active ingredient – pelargonic acid – starts working immediately, gives results in 3 hours and breaks down in soil naturally. Weeds will be dead in under 24 hours (if used in optimal conditions), leaving the area ready for replanting in just 3 days. The bottle is made from 50% recycled plastic and recyclable. The trigger and cap are currently not recyclable.
When to use
How to use
SHAKE WELL BEFORE USE. Wear gloves and enclosed footwear.
- CONNECT - Cut the white tie to release the hose and wand. Connect the hose to the pack as shown. This is a quick couple system, so once in place it cannot be removed without force.
- EXTEND WAND - Lift sprayer off the bottle, push the yellow button while pulling the lance into spray position.
- PUMP - Pump the handle 25-30 times for up to 10 minutes of pressure spray. After pumping, push the handle down and turn clockwise to lock into carry position.
- SPRAY ‘N GO - Adjust spray pattern by turning the nozzle. Aim 50 cm from target weed and press white trigger. Spray to lightly wet the leaves avoiding run off.
- AFTER USE - Push the yellow button and retract the wand to its original position, clip it onto the top of the pack for storage and to prevent accidental release of spray solution.
- STORE - Push the pump handle down, turn both the pump handle and cap anti-clockwise to relieve pressure, then retighten before storage.
Keep children and pets away from treated areas until spray has dried.
Where to use
Use to kill weeds on flower beds, borders, vegetable patches, around roses, shrubs, hedges, greenhouses and along fences. Ideal before cropping and ground clearance before cultivation.
Can be used to clean up weedy ground before planting vegetables, flowers, bushes and trees, and to renovate overgrown areas.
For the control of weeds around ornamental garden plants, trees and in areas not intended to bear vegetation.
Most effective when applied to newly established weeds or those less than 10–15 cm tall.
Do not direct spray or allow spray drift onto cultivated plants and lawn as this product destroys all green plant parts.
When to use
Apply in warm, calm, dry, conditions during April – November when weeds are actively growing.
Do not apply when there is a risk of frost or drought as weeds will not be actively growing.
Reapply if it rains within 3 hours of application. Reapply 7 to 21 days if required. Maximum 4 applications per year.

This pack treats up to 165 m². Application rate: 300 mL per 10 m².

Contains 43.1 g/L Pelargonic acid as an Emulsion, oil in water (EW).

- Environmental protection: To protect aquatic organisms and non-target plants do not apply on impermeable hard surfaces such as asphalt, concrete, cobblestones, tarmac, paving, patio and other situations with a high risk of run-off. Direct spray away from ponds and other surface water bodies. Risk to non-target insects or other arthropods. Avoid improper release into the environment. Do not contaminate water with the product and its container. Do not empty into drains.
- Storage and disposal: KEEP PRODUCT IN ORIGINAL CONTAINER, tightly closed in a safe place. Protect from frost. KEEP AWAY FROM FOOD, DRINK AND ANIMAL FEEDING STUFFS. KEEP PRODUCT AWAY FROM CHILDREN AND PETS. Do not re-use container for any other purpose.

I recently used the Roundup Total Optima Pump 'n Go Weedkiller and I'm really impressed with how effective it is. The pump 'n go feature makes it super easy to apply and I saw results fairly quickly on the weeds in my garden. It's a convenient and powerful solution for tackling weeds

This weed killer has worked perfect in my front yard as we had a lot off weds between the pavement that was need to be gone this product is effective and all weeds were gone in about 4 days.It is easy to apply as it has the small pump and the 5 litre canisters will last us for all year round another mention is the scent that is not unpleasant as I had it with other solutions that kill weeds the smell is bearable and and it seems this chemical doesn’t affect the soil and other plants can be planted in 2-3 days after using it and I am happy with it as the soil is not affected by using it.

It’s easier to pump with the help of the applicator and it’s easy to store. I have a huge garden but I used it mostly on the tiled bit as those weeds come over and over again in the same area! It did take two application for it to completely die! What I would like to see is if those weeds come up again! Based on the price in Wickes I think it is definitely worth it! Would definitely always buy again

I followed the instructions carefully and gave the product plenty of time to work but unfortunately the fast results that were advertised didn’t materialize. Some weeds required multiple applications making it less efficient than I had hoped. While some weeds did not die completely others took much longer to show any effect.On the positive side I do like the concept behind the product. It’s very easy to use the pressure sprayer works well and the packaging is convenient. I genuinely wanted this to be effective but in the end I didn’t see the results I was expecting.

This product is absolutely fantastic and does exactly what it says it will. The garden has been somewhat neglected recently meaning lots of weeds! I used this on different types of weeds along the edges of the garden and they were killed within 24 hours. The pump and go functionality makes it really easy to use too and meant it was a lot quicker! I will now have to move onto the driveway and tackle that. I would definitely recommend this product and will be purchasing again once this runs out. Highly recommended.

The Roundup Weedkiller is great! I applied it on a side of the backyard. And I found the weeds withered in the next day. It penetrates the roots of weeds to kill them permanently. The ingredients will break down in the soil naturally and can plant again. The effective and visible result and it really worth for the money.
Don't be directly over when spraying the weeds.

I was selected to test this out I waited for weeds to grow so I could take full advantage with our effective this was to kill the weeds. This does have a smell similar hopefully to deter animals from sniffing around. Best to be done on a warm day. It is very easy to use. Pump and spray around the roots of the weeds. Allow 3 - 5 days for it to take effect. The photos I have taken are when I first used the product so I will upload more in a few days. So you can see how effective this is.

What a difference this weed killer makes. I have used the smaller bottles before and end up with cramp from pressing the spray loads of times but the pump definitely makes it much better. This is the best weed killer I have tried kills the weeds within hours.

This is a great product! It has a convenient hose to help get the product exactly where you need it which I felt made it safer around my animals and children. It is really effective literally working within hours! Amazing value for money! Would definitely recommend!

Every summer it’s a mission to get rid of weeds and make the garden looks nice. This product is absolutely amazing and very efficient. It came with full instructions which was easy to follow and made the whole process much easier. It’s very very easy to spread and spray. Took me less then half an hour to treat the big part of the back and front of the house. All the weeds are gone and looks very clean and tidy now. It does have strong smell for the first few hours but disappears very quickly. I would highly recommend it and definitely would buy and use it again.

This is by far the easiest weedkiller I've ever used. The Pump 'n Go system is a game-changer – the ergonomic spray connector fits comfortably in your hand and the long hose means you can reach awkward spots without any hassle. It's really simple to adjust the spray depending on the job whether you're targeting a single weed or treating a wider area.As for performance it's incredibly effective – weeds start to shrivel up in no time and it even handles those persistent ones growing in hard-to-reach places like between paving slabs or at the back of borders. Highly recommended – efficient effortless and gets the job done quickly!

This is a very good design. It was straightforward and easy to set up. Had a safety switch to turn pump spray off. Had to pump 20-25 times to get 10mins of spray. I only got about 5mins of spray but was enough to do my porch. After a few hours weeds were dying and brown so was very effective. This device is a lot easier to use compared to the small trigger spray bottles. I was a bit disappointed i did have some new weeds come through a few days later maybe i missed a bit. On the whole would recommend as makes job easier and would buy again.

Once i had read the instructions of how to assemble it was very easy to use. I sprayed the weeds and within a couple of hours they had completed wilted and following day died completely ready to pick out easily. Gave area another spray just to kill roots. Really impressed with application and results so a firm 10/10 from me

Wow a great product! The cartridge is great value for money and great quality. It’s eco friendly and has a non smells scent which some gardening products have. The safety warnings are labelled in bold which is good! The weed killer actually works great much better than other products I have tried.

AMAZING you can literally see it working overnight. Super easy use with the built in spray. Some stubborn weeds may need a second application but overall I’m impressed with the results. Great for paths borders etc Will I purchase again ? Absolutely Already recommended to friends and family

The bottle was very easy to set up and use and the pump gave a good pressured spray. However this was the speed version of the weed killer and it still took a while for the results to be visible so would stick to the normal one next time.

Great weed killer managed to sort out all the flower beds before summer. It even got rid of the tiny weeds that grow in the corners all within a few days. The spray and nozzle function is so useful for getting it in the right place and keeping it out the wrong place.

This product is really good! It is a good value for money it actually kills the weeds within a couple of hours as tho can see by the photos the safety for the spray gun is really good so kiddies can’t get hold of it and try to play with it! It hasn’t got a nasty smell to it at all like some weed killers do eco friendliness of the product is good the container is recyclable but only at the local tip as the container says
