How To Grow Different Types Of Vegetables | Love The Garden

It doesn't matter if you have a huge allotment space or just a few planters to get started, growing your own vegetables is a hugely rewarding pastime. Growing your own will of course save you money in the long run, but it is also environmentally friendly. It can be a great activity for all of the family and an excellent way of getting the children to eat more 'greens'- if they grow it, they will eat it!

Be careful when you are looking at growing your veg, be sure to find out what type of soil is in your garden. Some vegetables will not take to well to being planted in different types of soil and if you are looking to grow vegetables that are not native to the UK, ensure that you are planting this veg under glass in a warmer, controlled environment.
